How I Passed The Exam: MB-800

Let me introduce myself before moving to my story.  I am an IT manager in a pharmaceutical company.  I’m working there for the last 5 years. Before that, I was working in a software house. I have vast experience of working with Microsoft Windows / Server environment with Microsoft Office productivity suite. Besides the OS and Productivity Suite, I have a solid background in database applications. I have CCNA and MCDBA certifications in my portfolio.

We were using a custom-made ERP software with On-Premises server deployment. In the last 3 years, our company expanded its customer base at a very good pace. Besides that, we have got a few bigger distribution contracts lately. That was the time when we realized that our custom-made ERP started choking. Soon it reaches the bottleneck.  So we decided to go for a bigger ERP solution as well as for a cloud platform.

At the same time, the COVID outbreak happened. We were already in the process of replacing our local ERP software with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central cloud platform.  Due to the pandemic, there was a sudden increase in our workload, especially in remote cities. We were thinking of a slower transition but the new situation forced us to make the move more quickly.

I was already trying to get acquainted with the cloud environment especially in the context of Microsoft Dynamics through theoretical studies. Due to this pace shift, I also had to speed up things. I was planning to go for A Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification at my ease, but now I was supposed to get it much quicker. Then I started looking for an appropriate certification to match my skill requirements. I found Microsoft Certified:

Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate to be close enough to my job role as I was supposed to act as a bridge between my organization and the IT people in or outside the organization. It was especially important before going for the transition. The next phase was preparing for the certification exam. I downloaded the exam objectives, course layout, and skills list. That’s what I have learned from my previous certification exams that you need to be clear about what the exam is all about before jumping for the same.

Once you’re clear about the prerequisites and the exam topics, you can make a good preparation plan. As I had very little time so I made an aggressive plan. Due to my experience and certification background, I was confident that I will do it without much hassle. After making a plan you need the right study material. There are many online resources available for the preparation of the exam MB-800 or any other certification exam.

There are paid resources as well as free. Free resources are usually available in the shape of video tutorials and study guides, but most of them are obsolete, never updated, and very limited from the course content point of view. When it comes to paid training material, there are two types of resources available, those by Microsoft or its training partners, and then the 3rd party websites.

Frankly speaking, Microsoft and its authorized training partners are expensive, way beyond the affordability of a common candidate. Then you have some other training provider who offers the training for the exam: MB-800 at a relatively affordable price. I already have good personal experience with Marks4sure during my previous exams. I found the braindumps and MB-800 practice tests from Marks4sure to be very accurate. Marks4sure offers a money-back guarantee for their training material, though I never had to claim it as I always passed the exam on my first attempt. As usual, I selected the PDF + Testing engine for the exam: MB-800 from Marks4sure as practice tests help you a lot in evaluating your level of preparation.  It took me 3 and a half weeks to fully prepare for the exam. In the 4th week, I took the exam and I made it in the first attempt by securing an 88% score. Now I’m a Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate and working with the platform with confidence.
